Each year, Dallas Junior Hockey Association (DJHA) makes a scholarship opportunity available to a graduating seniors in the DJHA program. Selection of the player to receive the Dan Hess Memorial Scholarship opportunity is based on a number of factors, including academic performance in school and involvement in school and community activities.  All required information must be provided before any application will be considered.

** NOTE ** Please ensure the following required documents are scanned/available for upload prior to submitting the application:

-    Letter from the player (not the parent) that contains a description of him/herself and their hockey experience
-    Current/most recent transcript or report card
-    Letter of recommendation from a current teacher/instructor
-    Letter of recommendation from an adult involved with player in any of the above activities
-    Letter of recommendation from a current or previous hockey coach (or, if no prior hockey coach, a coach in some other sport)

- Scholarship awards are dependent upon the financial status of the account used to fund the Dan Hess Memorial Scholarship.

- Scholarship award amounts and number of potential award recipients is determined by the DJHA Board of Directors.

- The Dan Hess Scholarship Committee will review all applications and scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, player involvement and volunteer efforts on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis.

- A complete application * must be submitted online by the required deadline of midnight, March 1st, 2024.

- Dan Hess Memorial Scholarship award recipients will be announced on our website (and via email).

- Personal Data
- Academic Information
- Extracurricular and Community Activities
- Letter from the player (not the parent) that contains a description of him/herself and their hockey experience
- Current/most recent transcript or report card
- Letter of recommendation from a current teacher/instructor
- Letter of recommendation from an adult involved with player in any of the above activities
- Letter of recommendation from a current or previous hockey coach (or, if no prior hockey coach, a coach in some other sport
